Heather Coil is senior manager of state policy at the Data Center Coalition, the membership association for the U.S. data center industry. DCC empowers its members through public policy advocacy, thought leadership, stakeholder outreach, and community engagement.

Heather is a highly accomplished government affairs professional with over a decade of experience in advocacy and political engagement. She began her career at a data center in downtown St. Louis, where she gained invaluable insights into the industry's inner workings.

Before joining DCC, Heather was an external affairs manager at Crown Castle, a major telecommunications company. In this role, she effectively represented the company's interests, focusing on critical issues that impact the telecommunications landscape at the state and local levels. Prior to Crown Castle, she spent five years as the government affairs director at Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), where she advocated for the construction industry, managed legislative responsibilities, and championed workforce development programs and licensing reforms in Kansas and Missouri.

Heather holds a degree in communications and marketing from Missouri State University. Her diverse skill set has been honed through her involvement in various political campaigns across all levels of government, where she developed and executed comprehensive communications strategies that secured significant media placements and endorsements.

Outside of her professional life, Heather enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially her three children, all born on holidays. A passionate animal lover, she actively volunteers for a local German Shepherd rescue and supports local candidates and community initiatives.
